Digimon Savers

The story takes place in the near future. The existence of the Digital Monster has been confirmed by the discovery of the world inside the net, the Digital World. A leading researcher of the Digital World, Daimon Suguru, has made great efforts in beginning to understand the ecology of Digimon, and though they are rare, that there are evil Digimon. As a countermeasure against these Digimon, the government established the Digital World Special Investigation Corps, or DATS (Digital Accident Tactics Squad.) Professor Daimon's only son, Daimon Masaru, becomes a member of DATS, a scout, and along with Touma and Yoshino, opposes evil Digimon."

It seems, though, that there might be more to DATS than meets the eye. Furthermore, Daimon Suguru is said to have disappeared...what could have happened to him? Is DATS really hunting down evil Digimon only? What part will Masaru, Touma, and Yoshino play in all this?

Episode 1 - I'm Masaru! Kokatorimon Attacks!
An alarm sounds as a mysterious creature runs down a damp tunnel, finally reaching the end. Yoshino is dispatched to intercept and engage this renegade being called Raptor-1. She stumbles upon 13 boys all badly injured ahead. Just past the bodies, she spots Raptor-1 and another boy, about to fight. Yoshino, dumfounded by the thought of a human fighting a Digimon, watches on. Both begin throwing punches and by the time the sun begins to set, both parties are equally worn out. Complimenting each other on their fighting skills, Raptor-1 introduces himself as Agumon and the boy introduces himself as Masaru Daimon. With Masaru being the only human he's been able to respect, Agumon vows to become his follower, Masaru's henchman. Just then, Yoshino interrupts and commands the unexpecting duo to come with her. They are able to escape and make it to a safe location. Agumon's stomach begins to growl so Masaru heads to the store to get some food. Yoshino shows up at the store, explaining that she works for an organization called DATS, or Digital Accident Tactics Squad. She lets him know that Digimon don't eat human food and will die if he doesn't come with her to get him food. He agrees to go with her. Yoshino introduces Masaru to Commander Satsuma and his partner Kudamon. He explains that renegades such as Raptor-1 must be kept under control. Masaru will not hand Agumon over and offers a promise that he will be responsible for anything he does wrong. Before an answer could be given, an alarm sounds. It is reported that a Digimon has began attacking a store in the parking area and DATS suspects that it is Agumon. They head back to the location where Agumon was left, but he's gone. Masaru takes off towards the fiery parking area but Agumon stumbles up to Masaru with a trashcan on his head. He had been looking for food, not blowing up the store. Kokatorimon shows himself to be the menace. Masaru and Agumon take off towards the monster trying to attack him. Kokatorimon unleashes his ultimate attack, knocking Agumon out cold. Masaru sprints towards Kokatorimon in sheer anger and leaps into the air, punching the bird right in his face, unleashing a great power within his fist. An old man appears from the smoke, tossing Masaru a Digivice, telling him to use it with his DigiSoul to allow Agumon to Digivolve. He uses his power to awaken Agumon, who then Digivolves to GeoGreymon! GeoGreymon uses his primary attack to kill Kokatorimon, reverting him back to a DigiEgg. Commander Satsuma tells Kudamon he wants Masaru on his team as he has the ability not only to have Agumon respect him, but also enabling him to Digivolve

Episode 2 - Burn, DigiSoul of Anger! Flymon, Lurking in the Darkness!
Yoshino brings Masaru and Agumon back to DATS. PawnChessmon is seen putting Kokatorimon's DigiEgg into a large machine which is used to return it to the Digital World. They begin to force Agumon into the machine to be transported as well but Masaru and him escape. They head back to Masaru's house where he tries to hide Agumon from his mom. Although their efforts to hide Agumon failed, Masaru's mom (Sayuri) and sister (Chika) welcome Agumon to their family. Yoshino is also over for dinner, telling Masaru that since he wouldn't give Agumon to DATS she would have to stay and keep an eye on them- indefinitely. In the morning, Masaru readies himself for school and Yoshino shows him how Agumon can be transferred to data and housed in his Digivice. He does so, and leaves for school with Yoshino following him close by in her car. Passing by Chika's school, police cars are present, so Masaru takes a look around. Chika's young classmate, Takashi, is seen crying in front of the school's rabbit and chicken cages. Upon closer examination, the cages have holes in the wires and the scent of a Digimon is present. Masaru plans a stakeout of the cages and places Agumon inside as bait. Later that night, Takashi returns to the cages and tells Masaru he didn't want to feed the animals and wished that they would disappear. Just then, Kunemon appears behind Takashi, knocking him to the side. Raramon attacks, but isn't strong enough so she Digivolves to Sunflowmon. Kunemon Digivolves to Flymon and uses his poison powder to paralyze Sunflowmon. Masaru sprints towards Flymon, punching him in the face, allowing Agumon to Digivolve to GeoGreymon, reverting Flymon back to a DigiEgg. The old man who gave Masaru his Digivice appears, telling Masaru about the Digital World and all the opponents they could fight there. Masaru and Agumon return to DATS and asks Commander Satsuma to allow them to join DATS so that Agumon wouldn't have to be sent back. Satsuma gladly agrees.

Episode 3 - The Genius Who Returned Home, Tohma! Crush Meramon!
Everyone is preparing themselves for the day ahead. Agumon and Masaru fight over food while Chika watches on in dismay before they leave. Masaru gives Agumon a piggyback ride into town, pretending Agumon to be a stuffed animal. A call from DATS informs them that a DemiMeramon has begun attacking, scaring some men who were close by. Agumon and Masaru engage it, but because DemiMeramon is made of fire and is so buoyant, neither Agumon nor Masaru could do any damage. Without Masaru being able to punch this monster, Agumon can not Digivolve. Tohma shows up after Masaru and Agumon run off, erasing the mens' memories of the attack and pursues the DemiMeramon. Back at DATS, Tohma arrives with DemiMeramon's DigiEgg and reports to Commander Satsuma. Tohma has returned to the Japanese portion of DATS after about 6 months. Soon after hearing Tohma's résumé of graduating from college at the age of 13, Masaru is annoyed at his and Gaomon's egotistical manners. Tohma asks Commander Satsuma to dismiss Masaru from DATS on the basis that he is not suited for the organization with his vulgar attitude. The two end up in the boxing ring, pitting faith in power (Masaru) versus faith in strategy (Tohma). Declaring it a tie after both parties deal strong blows, the alarm sounds with data coming in showing the appearance of almost 100 DemiMeramon! Commaner Satsuma sends Tohma and Gaomon to battle the fiends. Gaomon Digivolves to Gaogamon through Tohma's DigiSoul and defeats the DemiMeramon. DATS reports that there are still a few more DemiMeramon closer to DATS. Masaru sees how Tohma and Gaomon fight, instilling major doubts in his own methods. He runs out of DATS upset while Agumon tries to console him. The old fisherman is outside of DATS cooking a fish on a makeshift stove, giving Masaru an idea. The remaining DemiMeramon appear nearby and Masaru and Agumon attack them using Agumon's fire power. This charges the little monsters, combining them to form Meramon! Masaru, now having a tougher challenge, is then able to punch Meramon, igniting his DigiSoul. Agumon Digivolves and GeoGreymon takes care of Meramon. After whipping the look of surprise off his face, Tohma tells Masaru not to be over confident. A fight erupts once again, but Commander Satsuma puts an end to this, making Tohma and Masaru partners.

Episode 4 - New Team, First Mission! Chase Drimogemon!
The team investigates a building covered in green Numemon slime. Tohma creates a plan on how to attack the unsuspecting Numemon while Masaru argues, telling Tohma not to order him around. After splitting up, they both locate and attack the Numemon from opposite sides. Gaomon ends up attacking Agumon by mistake. Raramon is able to kill Numemon soon after. Tohma gives Masaru a ride home through orders provided by Commander Satsuma. There, Tohma is introduced to Masaru's family. Sayuri invites Tohma inside for some tea, but Tohma just rides off, seemingly jealous to see Masaru's wholesome family. Later that night, a pair of robbers make their way into a bank thanks to a device they use to crack the pass code. Once in, one of the robbers trips, dropping the device. It breaks, making the door close shut, and a portal is opened from the Digital World allowing a Drimogemon to enter. Drimogemon drills his way out of the bank, helping the robbers. They draft Drimogemon to help them with their next robbery, the local ATM. Masaru, Tohma, and Yoshino show up as soon as the criminals break through to the money. They try to escape with Drimogemon, but Agumon and Masaru stop the car. Drimogemon begins to glow and grows bigger. After a very involved battle, Drimogemon escapes through a portal back to the Digital World. Tohma blames himself for what happened, afraid that when back, Drimogemon will recruit other Digimon to follow him to the real world to get revenge. Against Commander Satsuma's orders, Tohma enters the Digital Dive (the machine used to send DigiEggs back to the Digital World) and transports himself to the Digital World.

Episode 5 - Break into the Digital World! Drimogemon's Trap!
With Tohma now in the Digital World, Masaru's not going to let him have all of the fun. Masaru convinces Yoshino to ready the Digital Dive for Masaru and Agumon to enter the Digital World. She obeys Masaru's wishes, hoping he'll be able to bring Tohma back. Once in the Digital World, the duo take a look around and realize it looks a lot like the real world. Drimogemon appears, giving Masaru and Agumon a rough time. He splits the ground beneath them, hurling them down a rocky underground cave. They happen upon Tohma and Gaomon underground and once Masaru realizes Tohma's injured, he begins to help his comrade out. The group spots Drimogemon once again and, against Tohma's good judgement, Masaru forces them to all jump onto the beast's back. Drimogemon goes insane and begins to rampage. Masaru is able to navigate Drimogemon as if he was riding a horse. He navigates Drimogemon into a giant crystal cave so Drimogemon couldn't escape by digging. There, Drimogemon slide evolves into Digmon and attacks. Working together, GeoGreymon and Gaogamon are able to defeat Digmon, returning him to a DigiEgg. Masaru and Tohma decide to work together and be friends then return to the real world. Once back, Commander Satsuma scolds the two for going into the Digital World against his orders, yet seems happy the adventure brought Masaru and Tohma together

Episode 6 - The Masaru-Agumon Combo Dissolves?! Galing Garurumon
Masaru and Agumon seem to be at the peak of perfection as they are in the midst of battle against a Tortomon. Agumon Digivolves through the use of Masaru's DigiSoul and kills Tortomon. Later on, Masaru and Agumon are enjoying a meal with Masaru's family. The two begin to fight over the last bit of food which leads to an even larger argument over whether or not they need each other in battle.Masaru explains that without his DigiSoul, Agumon cannot Digivolve. This angers Agumon who then retreats into Masaru's Digivice. Later that day, Masaru seems to be wandering around town depressed. He bumps into a few schoolmates of his who try to start a fight. Masaru beats them all up after they try to jump them. After being defeated, the leader of the group's anger leads an Elecmon to appear in the real world. Elecmon goes on a rampage through the city, causing streetlights to go out and traffic accidents to ensue. the city is in utter chaos when Masaru, Tohma, and Yoshino finally engage the Elecmon. It then evolves into a Virus type Garurumon, defeating Sunflowmon and Gaogamon. Without Agumon there, all Masaru can do is jump on the wild beast's back and hang on for the ride. Masaru jumps off and begins to battle the Garurumon on his own. Punching him, Masaru is able to activate his Digisoul but is soon to realize it doesn't help him without Agumon there. After being thrown around and almost killed, Agumon appears, attacking Garurumon. Masaru gathers his DigiSoul, allowing Agumon to Digivolve. GeoGreymon defeats Garurumon and Agumon and Masaru make up.

Episode 7 - Touma's Day Off! Exploding BomberNanimon!
Sadly, Masaru is scheduled to take an exam on Chika's birthday. He goes to his new friend Tohma for help. Tohma agrees to take Masaru's sister and mother out for the day for Chika's birthday and also agrees to have dinner at their house the day before to get acquainted. Tohma does much research and plans out the perfect day for the little girl's special day. The next day, Tohma picks the two girls up in his fancy limo with his nice white tux on ready for a grand night out on the town. Chika is more worried about having fun in her own way though and persuades Tohma to let them go to the arcade. The three find themselves at an amusement park where Tohma reminisces the time he spent with his own mother. Their night is interrupted by a surprise attack from none other than BomberNanimon. Gaomon emerges from Tohma's Digivice and Digivolves to Gaogamon. Gaogamon hurls BomberNanimon into the air, creating an amazing firework display as BomberNanimon's DigiEgg falls to the ground below. Back home, Masaru's family in addition to Tohma and Gaomon share a nice birthday dinner.

Episode 8 - Yoshino Gets Tama no Koshi?! Chrysalimon's Shadow!
Masaru finds himself inside a restaurant enjoying a meal and watching TV. Just outside the window, Yoshino is running past with a TV crew close behind her. It seems she just met up with an old friend of hers, Neon, who is a new rising pop singer. Back at DATS, Yoshino gets scolded for the publicity that she is gaining and the possible effects it may have on the DATS organization. commander Satsuma appears to have information on Neon and possible Digimon signals coming from his apartment. Yoshino, still being followed by the news, meets her friend at his apartment for dinner. Neon disappears for a few minutes into a dark room where he begins to manipulate TV's all over the city to show himself singing. Masaru sees this for himself through his TV at home and heads over to Neon's apartment where he threatens him. Yoshino slaps Masaru and kisses Neon goodnight so that Neon doesn't know that they're on to him. Later that night Masaru, Tohma, and Yoshino infiltrate Neon's apartment and begin battling the Digimon-Keramon. Close behind is one of the news reporter trying to snap a good picture for his boss. Keramon Digivolves to Chrysalimon and begins to do some bad damage on Gaomon. Gaomon Digivolves, but Gaogamon is no match for Chrysalimon. Agumon finally Digivolves to GeoGreymon and blasts Chrysalimon straight through its shell-like body. Meanwhile, Raramon and Yoshino secure the photographer's film and erase his and Neon's mind of the Digimon and battle that had just happened.

Episode 9 - Tohma's Unglorified Battle. Secret Manoeuvres, Togemon!
Hayase Tsubasa is a famous boxer who is about to fight an opponent he lost to a while back because the opponent fights dirty. Masaru and Tohma learn of this battle and both want to help their favorite boxer train. Commander Satsuma has come to possess a green needle that came from a Digimon. The needle was found to be somehow connected to Hayase Tsubasa and set Masaru, Tohma, and Yoshino to investigate. Tohma soon begins to train with his idol, Tsubasa, by jogging with him. Masaru takes a different approach and begins to box at Tsubasa's ring. Yoshino goes to Tsubasa's house and interviews his wife and daughter. The night before the big match, Tohma follows Tsubasa's opponent as he was out on a jog. All of a sudden, hundreds of green needles fly towards Tsubasa's opponent. Gaomon knocks them all out of the way and the Digimon they had been looking for was revealed- Togemon! Tsubasa's daughter jumps from Togemon's back as the plot seems to come together- Tsubasa's daughter was still upset from the dirty fight her father's opponent had won and Togemon came to the real world to help eliminate Tsubasa's opponent. Gaomon challenges Togemon to a boxing match and after losing the match, Togemon grows many times its size. Gaomon Digivolves and defeats Togemon. Tohma had to erase Tsubasa and his daughter's memory of him and the Digimon. Unfortunately this meant Tsubasa did not remember Tohma, one of his biggest fans.

Episode 10 - Masaru's Worst Day Ever! Prankster Soulmon!
Masaru, Agumon, and Chika have arrived at Tohma's house for the first time. Chika seems very nervous as they enter the mansion for the fancy dinner. At dinner, she makes the mistake of taking a sip from the bowl used to clean one's fingers. Masaru takes a sip from his finger bowl, trying to take some of the embarrassment off of Chika. She only thinks Masaru is mocking her and rushes out in tears wishing Masaru misfortune. As Chika gets upset, Tohma's lights begin to flicker and a ghostly figure appears and hides around Masaru. As Masaru and Tohma chase after Chika, Masaru trips on a banana peal. Later on, he trips over a sign that mysteriously appeared in front on him. A few steps later, Masaru falls down on a bunch of loose chop sticks. The two head back to DATS where the alarm begins to sound. Shirakawa lets everyone know the Digimon that caused the alarm to sound is inside DATS. Just then the alarm sounds again and the monitors show a tanker in the harbor behind DATS is headed full speed towards DATS. Masaru feels that all of the bad luck is his fault and heads out to stop the tanker. Against Masaru's wishes, Agumon, Tohma, and Yoshino follow close behind to help. Agumon lets Chika know what is happening and that her wishes of misfortune are coming true. Tohma goes to talk sense into Masaru while Yoshino readies the DATS speed boat. Masaru and Agumon board the speed boat and then board the tanker and enter the control room. There, Masaru finds Soulmon- the one who has been causing all the misfortune. Agumon Digivolves to GeoGreymon and defeats Soulmon, stopping the tanker just in time. Back on the pier, Tohma tells Commander Satsuma that he believes Digimon are appearing in the real world as a result of humans' emotions.

Episode 11 - Bring Back the Bond between Parent and Child! Vilemon's Bewitchment!
Tohma and Gaomon head to America by personal jet to research his theory about how Digimon appear in the real world through humans' emotion. Meanwhile, still in Japan, Shirakawa and Kurokawa offer to share a box of small snacks that they picked up from a local shop. Come to find out, Agumon had eaten all of them so Masaru set out to buy some more. When he arrived at the shop, he saw a sneaky business man and his body guard harassing the owner of the shop for money. Masaru chases the men away after displaying his own fighting abilities. He soon finds out the man is one of Masaru's classmate's father. Masaru learns that the kid's father has a gambling problem and that's why those men were harassing him. Later that night, the man is rummaging through his shed stressed out from his money issues. A digital port opens nearby allowing a Vilmon and three DemiDevimon to enter the real world. The DemiDevimon follow the man to the horse races and using their Demi Darts, energize the man's horse that he had bet on to win. This continued until the man was out of his debt and began to only value his money. He began ignoring his son and only caring about his possessions. Masaru decides to check out what was behind the sudden burst of good luck and found the four Digimon in his shed. Masaru and Agumon begin to battle the Vilemon but Vilemon grabs Masaru. Luckily Raramon and Yoshino show up and they are able to free Masaru who then gathers his DigiSoul. Agumon Digivolves and GeoGreymon is able to defeat Vilmon and all three DemiDevimon. Back at DATS, Tohma returns with some shocking news...

Episode 12 - I Will Protect Chika! Biyomon's Resolve!
Tohma returns from his trip to America with information on how Digimon have been appearing in the real world. His theory was correct, Digimon have been coming to the real world through human emotion, but more notably through human's seven deadly sins. Tohma has also found that someone has been breaking the wall between the two worlds. After this news, the alarm sounds and Masaru, Yoshino, and Tohma set out to inspect. They arrive at the location of the signal- Masaru's house. Rushing in, they find Sayuri and Chika holding a DigiEgg that had appeared while the two were hanging clothes. Yoshino and Tohma explain that Raramon, Gaomon, both PawnChessmon, and Agumon arrived in the real world as DigiEggs, just like this DigiEgg had. They also tell Masaru and his family that Digimon that arrive in the real world as DigiEggs must have a partner who knows how to use the DigiSoul or they will become untamed and uncontrollable. The DigiEgg then begins to bounce around and hatches into a cute little Puwamon who Chika quickly grows attached to. Tohma decides it's best not to remove Puwamon from the house, not wanting it to be influenced by human emotion and become out of control. Later that night, Chika and Puwamon are fast asleep while Tohma works on a machine to house Puwamon while they carry it back to DATS. Outside of the city, a portal opens and a dark figure emerges vowing to take back the recently hatched DigiEgg that was carried away by a storm in the Digital World. Puwamon begins to act weird and hides under Chika's bed. All of a sudden, the dark figure bursts through Chika's window, shattering glass all over the place. He introduces himself as Falcomon and demands the DigiEgg as Puwamon holds his ground. Gaomon and Tohma rush into the room, causing the bird to retreat. The encounter triggers Puwamon to Digivolve to Biyomon, who then reintroduces himself to Chika. Back in the Digital World, a Gotsumon is seen running towards a silhouette, Mercurimon, telling it about Falcomon being in the real world. Back in the real world, Chika awakens to find doctors ready to run tests on her with orders from Commander Satsuma to see if she possesses a DigiSoul. Masaru fights the doctors back, protecting his sister from their shots and tests. Sayuri meets with Satsuma, telling him she'd rather not loose another child to DATS. Masaru also feels Chika is too young for DATS and decides that it is best to send Biyomon back to the Digital World. To send him back Biyomon must be a DigiEgg, so Masaru begins to fight Biyomon, trying to revert him to a DigiEgg. Falcomon stops the fight, trying to harm Chika but Biyomon protects her, saying he wants to stay with her. Tohma and Yoshino show up as Masaru begins to climb a nearby radio tower, trying to punch Falcomon. While Gaogamon and Sunflowmon occupy Falcomon, Biyomon saves Masaru who had fallen from the tower. With Biyomon's help, he is then able to hit Falcomon releasing his DigiSoul. Agumon Digivovles to GeoGreymon, unleashing his attack. The attack is stopped by a lightening bolt coming from Mercurimon who just appeared in the real world. Masaru sees Mercurimon as a challange, and takes off towards him.

Episode 13 - A New Power Emerges. Evolve! RiseGreymon!!
Mercurimon quickly defeats GeoGreymon, Sunflowmon, and Gaogamon, as well as killing Biyomon and taking his DigiEgg with him back to the Digital World. The group heads back to DATS to seek medical attention where a higher-up official barges in, threatening Satsuma and his team. Meanwhile, back in the Digital World, Mercurimon tampers with Biyomon's DigiEgg, hatching it, and evolving Biyomon to Aquilamon. Aquilamon is sent to the real world to cause chaos, with his memory wiped of Chika. Shooting down a helicopter, Masaru, Yoshino, and Tohma are quick to react to the menace. Chika sees the report on t.v. and recognizes Aquilamon as being Biyomon and rushes out to the disaster zone with her mom following behind her. Aquilamon begins to attack oil tanks at a factory near the city. GeoGreymon attacks, but this only results in Aquilamon evolving to Garudamon. Chika arrives, causing Garudamon to become out of control fighting the conflicting memories. Unable to stop this new form of power, GeoGreymon falls to the ground trying to protect Masaru and his family. Masaru, full of rage and passion for protecting his family unleashes his Full DigiSoul evolving GeoGreymon to RiseGreymon. RiseGreymon kills Garudamon returning him to a DigiEgg that Chika consoles. Back at DATS the team learns about Mercurimon's signal being detected inside Biyomon's DigiEgg and decide they must go to the Digital World to kill Mercurimon.

Episode 14 - Digimon Boy Ikuto, Forest Keeper Cherrymon
After the decision is made to enter the Digital World in order to kill Mercurimon, Satsuma explains the dangers of the adventure. He explains the efforts of a team 10 years back when the Digital World was first discovered. Masaru's father, Suguru, headed a team of researchers as they visited the Digital World. Their journey was short lived though when Digimon began to attack their camp. Through the efforts of Suguru, the others were able to return to the real world, but he was never seen again. Masaru heads home to discuss this newly learned information with his mom and to tell her that he's going to the Digital World. Tohma and Yohino prepare as well. The next day, Masaru, Tohma, and Yoshino are prepared for their trip by securing equipment that would help them return when they needed to. They climb into the Digital Dive and are transported to the Digital World. Once there, they race to their equipment that landed a ways away. Once there, a boomerang flies out from no where and strikes the equipment, deleting it. A boy appears and catches the boomerang, landing beside Falcomon. He says his name is Ikuto, Falcomon's partner, and claims he hates humans for killing harmony in this world. Cherrymon appears, telling them all to leave his forest. Ikuto charges his DigiSoul and Falcomon evolves to Peckmon, attacking the group. They engage him in battle as Gotsumon, Mercurimon's minion, watches on. Cherrymon tells them to stop the battle, they're scaring the baby Digimon that he's protecting. Gotsumon begins to drop boulders towards everyone, trying to stop the battle. GeoGreymon evolves to RiseGreymon to destroy the boulders. Peckmon retreats, and Cherrymon thanks the group. He also tells them where Mercurimon's lair is, and that he possesses a gate back to the real world since their equipment was deleted.

Episode 15 - Memories of my Mother. Howl, MachGaogamon!
As the group continues their hike to Mercurimon's lair, they discover a giant canyon in their way. Not unlike the Digital World, this canyon was very different with giant skyscrapers and buildings jetting out from the rocky walls. With no other choice, the group propels through the maze of the sideways city. Unknowing to the group, a lone Kuramon provides surveillance for Ikuto, Falcomon, and Gotsumon back at their hide out. Out of nowhere, a colony of Dokugumon appear, trapping the tamers and Digimon, taking them hostage. MetalPhantomon appears, using his attack to put the tamers asleep and unleashing their ultimate fears. Masaru dreams of Chika being in trouble and him not being able to help her. Yoshino recollects a younger version of herself alone and crying, claiming her hatred for her parents. Tohma finds himself in his old town, but spots a younger version of himself. His mother is then seen. MetalPhantomon forces Tohma to re watch his mother being hit and killed by a drunk driver, putting herself in front of the truck to push her son out of the way. Through his will and love for his deceased mother, Tohma overcomes the attack and breaks through the Dokugumon's thread. He then unleashes his Full DigiSoul, Digivolving Gaomon to MachGaogamon. GeoGreymon and Sunflowmon take care of the Dokugumon while MachGaogamon kills MetalPhantomon. The group makes it out of the bizarre canyon alive. Just as everyone is collecting themselves, Yoshino collapses and falls ill.

Episode 16 - Falcomon is a Friend?! Rage! Blossomon
The group snaps to action as soon as Yoshino falls ill. They find shelter to let her rest as Tohma examines her. He figures out that she has some sort of Digital World virus and needs a vaccine for it. Falcomon and Ikuto manage to sneak into the cave, trying to hurt Yoshino. Masaru and Tohma re-enter the cave, stopping Ikuto. Ikuto readies to attack, but Yoshino grabs his arm, resulting in the virus spreading into his system. Falcomon carries Ikuto out of the cave, but returns later that night, knowing he needs help from Masaru and Tohma to save Ikuto. In the morning Masaru, Agumon, Tohma, Gaomon, and Falcomon leave for a mansion in the Digital World where a vaccine is known to be. Gotsumon, looking on, tells Mercurimon of the betrayal. Mercurimon seems to care little of this, so Gotsumon takes it upon himself to employ Blossomon to punish Falcomon and stop DATS. Once there, they locate the vaccine and a battle-ready Blossomon. Masaru entrusts Falcomon to get the vaccine back to Yoshino and Ikuto while RiseGreymon and MachGaogamon take care of Blossomon. Falcomon is shocked that Masaru, one of those "filthy humans," trusts Falcomon with such an important task. After Blossomon is killed, Masaru and Tohma return to find Yoshino feeling better, with Ikuto and Falcomon already gone.

Episode 17 - Singing Voice Which Calls Upon A Miracle. Evolution, Lilamon
Yoshino dreams of herself as a child, remembering a time when she was at her piano recital. She had froze on stage in front of the entire audience after she was placed to perform after two very good players. She wakes up, refreshed thanks to the vaccine. They begin the last leg of their journey, finally entering into the snowy area surrounding Mercurimon's palace. Ikuto and Falcomon appear, attacking the group. Gotsumon is looking from a distance and summons Mammothmon to attack them all. Gotsumon feels like Ikuto and Falcomon betrayed Mercurimon by seeking help from DATS so he wants them dead. Mammothmon causes an avalanche, splitting everyone up. Yoshino, Raramon, and Tohma find themselves at the bottom on a canyon as she is once again dreaming of her embarrassing recital. Mammothmon attacks them with Raramon being the only mode of defense. Yoshino feels she has been holding the group back and feels worthless so she doesn't even try to fight or summon her DigiSoul. Raramon is losing the fight, so she uses her Sing A Song attack to put Mammothmon to sleep. This reminds her again of her recital when a mysterious voice tells her to play any song she wants to when the recital ends and there is no audience. She plays, and a DigiEgg appears, hatching into Budmon. Yoshino realizes she should never give up and races to Raramon. She notices her teammates now convening on her position. Her Full DigiSoul activates, evolving Raramon to Lilamon, defeating Mammothmon. The group heads on, coming closer to Mercurimon's location. On the way, they stumble upon Yushima, the old fisherman. He came to the Digital World for Satsuma to help the kids.

Episode 18 - DATS Team Annihilated!? Clash, Mercurimon
Now with Yushima part of the group, the team enters the cave to Mercurimon's castle. They're being followed by a group of Tsumemon who are easily defeated. After being scolded by Mercurimon, Ikuto tries to prove himself by attacking Masaru. Once again, Masaru stops his attempts while the Digimon battle Falcomon. Gotsumon shows up and to Ikuto surprise, tries to kill everyone by caving in the area. Everyone survives, but Masaru and Ikuto are stuck hanging off a cliff. Luckily Masaru and Agumon help save Ikuto. Gotsumon captures Yushima, Tohma, and Yoshino and takes them to Mercurimon where he tells them of the destruction humans caused when they arrived in the Digital World 10 years ago. Masaru and Agumon make their way to Mercurimon, but Ikuto attacks once again, obviously confused about who to trust. Masaru evades his attacks and makes it to Mercurimon, landing a blow that helps Agumon evolve. RiseGreymon, MachGaogamon, and Lilamon all battle their best, even combining their attacks, but the only thing damaged was the door in Mercurimon's throne room, revealing the digital gate back to the real world. Out of strength, Agumon, Raramon, and Tohma can hardly move. Yushima reveals a Digivice of his own, releasing Kamemon, his partner Digimon. Kamemon evolves to Gawappamon and uses his attack to damage the pillars supporting Mercurimon's roof, allowing time for the group to escape. Yushima stays behind, but is able to hand an unconscious Ikuto off to Masaru to take back to the real world.

Episode 19 - The Target is Ikuto!? Gotsumon's Plot
Upon arriving back to the real world, the team is led to DATS to be examined. Afterwards, Masaru tries to reopen the Digital Dive to return for Yushima. Ikuto also tries to force the machine to work. Inexperienced, the two end up freezing the machine. Satsuma explains to Ikuto that when he was a baby, a digital gate opened in Ikuto's parents's basement, abducting him. Satsuma and Yushima, detectives at the time, had been assigned to investigate the cases of many others who had disappeared because of the same reasons and ended up locating four researchers. They created an exploration team consisting of Ikuto's parents, Masaru's dad, Satsuma, Yushima, and a man by the name of Kurata. They ventured to the Digital World where their camp was attacked. Masaru's dad was able to lead them back home, but disappeared in the process. Masaru forces Ikuto into the car to meet his parents. Ikuto is very impressed by the human world. Gotsumon appears and attacks using the aid of three Okuwamon. Still thinking Gotsumon is his friend, Ikuto and Falcomon do not fight. Gotsumon pilots an Okuwamon directly towards Ikuto, trying to kill him. Luckily Masaru saves Ikuto, sending Gotsumon running. The journey ends at Ikuto's parents's house.

Episode 20 - Save Mother, Ikuto. Hagurumon's Cage
Ikuto is uneasy about being at the house that DATS is calling his parents. Agumon spots someone around back, Mrs. Noguchi and her young infant daughter. Ikuto runs off, running into Mr. Noguchi. Masaru and Agumon talk to him while Yoshino and Raramon give chase to Ikuto. Mr. Noguchi tells Masaru about the incident 10 years ago. Him and his wife, researchers, were in their basement with Ikuto when a digital gate opened, abducting Ikuto. He explains about the team of researchers sent to find the baby in the Digital World. They find his bassinet with a toy robot he was playing with in it, but Ikuto was no where to be found. Mrs. Noguchi was devastated. Ikuto remembers the night Frigimon died, calling her mother. How could he call this other woman mother, when Frigimon cared for him for so long? Later that evening, another digital gate opens in the Noguchi house, producing a Hagurumon. It uses its Darkness Gear attack to mechanically combine the house itself with the toy Ikuto had as a baby to form a giant robotic monster. Mr. Noguchi escapes with their daughter, but Mrs. Noguchi is trapped inside. Masaru catches up to Yoshino who hasn't been able to find Ikuto. They head to the Noguchi house to find a Digimon signal that had appeared. They spot Ikuto on the way as well as a large house-sized robot. Remembering the toy robot triggers the memory of his mother in Ikuto. He pushes back these feelings, claiming he is a Digimon and his mother was Frigimon. RiseGreymon begins to battle the menace, ripping a wall off from its chest area revealing Mrs. Noguchi. Ikuto sees her and races to save her. After Hagurumon is reverted to a DigiEgg, Mrs. Noguchi runs over to her son and hugs him for the first time in 10 years, reminding him of Frigimon. The tearful reunion is interrupted by Hashiba, the government official who doesn't seem to care for DATS. He tries to take Mrs. Noguchi into custody for interacting with a Digimon, but Ikuto interrupts the arrest and soon disappears once again. Meanwhile, Gotsumon tells Mercurimon of his adventure in the real world when all of a sudden SaberLeomon makes an entrance.

Episode 21 - Big Panic in the Real World. Digimon Army Advances
SaberLeomon confronts Mercurimon on his ways of dealing with the humans. Gotsumon decides to align himself with SaberLeomon. Meanwhile, back in the real world, Ikuto is on the run from the government higher-ups when DATS rescues him. Once at the base, Ikuto sneaks out, causing the team more stress. With the events of Gotsumon's plot and Ikuto meeting his real mother, Ikuto questions who to believe, the humans of the real world or the Digimon of the Digital World. On the hunt to find him, a large army of hundreds of Digimon appear, bombing and attacking the city. Being beaten badly by the sheer number of Digimon, the team gets some aid from a surprising source. Shirakawa and Kurokawa appear with the PawnChessmon. They activate their DigiSouls, evolving the PawnChessmon to KnightChessmon. As the team tries to fight the intruders, Ikuto finally takes a stand and begins to fight with DATS. As the fight soon heats up, a mysteriously creepy man is shown watching the battle. He presses a button, opening a gigantic digital gate, sucking up all of the enemy Digimon. Could this possibly be Kurata, one of the researchers part of the exploration team to find Ikuto in the Digital World??

Episode 22 - Defeat an Ultimate! Surging SaberLeomon
Back at DATS, Kurokawa offers Ikuto dinner, but he remains locked in the cabin. Kurata appears in DATS, revealing it was him who opened the huge digital gate. Satsuma scolds him, saying it's against the rules to send a Digimon back without it being reverted to its DigiEgg form. Hashiba enters, taking Kurata's side, liking his method better. Shirakawa gets an alert that Ikuto is trying to escape. Hashiba wants to take Ikuto with him to conduct research on the boy who was raised by Digimon, but Masaru and Satsuma interject. Since DATS rescued him, DATS will care for him. Masaru takes Ikuto home and introduces him to Chika. Falcomon hides under a large box as not to scare her from their past encounter, but Chika removes the box, thinking it was Agumon. She is frightened at first, but is quick to throw them both into the bathroom, making them take a bath since they stink. They all sit down to dinner, then play a quick board game before bed. The next morning, Ikuto wakes up to Frigimon cleaning the dishes, but is soon to realize it's not Frigimon, but Sayuri. He pushes her away. Masaru recieves an alert of a Digimon signal. It's SaberLeomon! He arrives on the scene just as Lilamon and MachGaogamon were about to be killed. RiseGreymon tries his best, but is not able to stop him. Ikuto appears, distracting SaberLeomon. All of a sudden, a green mechanical being is spotted above head. It sends a laser at SaberLeomon, scrambling his data. Masaru gets a punch in while SaberLeomon is disabled, breaking off his fang. RiseGreymon then delivers the final blow. SaberLeomon's DigiEgg then strangely dissolves. Kurata appears telling them that it was a good thing that mechanical being appeared. He also says that Digimon have made humans their enemy and something has to be done.

Episode 23 - Again in the Digital World. Insekimon's Rage.
Ikuto is still under a deep depression regarding his origins. At DATS, the team looks at the effects that the mechanical being, which they have no data on, had on SaberLeomon's DigiEgg dissolving. Satsuma enters the room with a grim look on his face as a group of troops accompanied by Kurata enters behind him. Satsuma explains that by orders of Hashiba, they must take another trip to the Digital World, as well as take Kurata and his troops along. Kurata wants to "talk of negotiations" with Mercurimon. Masaru feels Mercurimon is not the kind of person who can be reasoned with through discussion. Because of the orders, Satsuma has no choice but to send them all, but they must wait until the next day for the Digital Dive to be ready. Masaru returns home to tell Ikuto about the situation. Ikuto feels that he's between the two sides of the battle and doesn't want them to go to the Digital World. Meanwhile, Mercurimon remembers a man he fought before who's DigiSoul was strong and lacked hesitation like Masaru's-Masaru's father. The group arrives in the Digital World with Gotsumon hot on their tracks. Gotsumon deploys Zudomon to attack them while Kurata and his men hide in fear of the giant beast. Masaru and Agumon are pushed aside by his attack while Lilamon and MachGaogamon work to defeat him. After Zudomon fails, Gotsumon steps up. The team laughs at the idea of such a small creature stopping them. Gostumon evolves revealing his true form, his Ultimate level, Meteormon. The group is again laughing at the fact that all Gotsumon did was change color. They're soon to stop laughing when Meteormon attacks the group with a hailing shower of asteroids. Masaru joins the fight, evolving Agumon to RiseGreymon. The trio is still unable to catch the great speed of Meteormon. Masaru keeps hope, and just as Meteormon attacks RiseGreymon in the stomach, RiseGreymon resists, grabbing the little pest. Lilamon uses her pollen to stun him while RiseGreymon hurls him into the air for MachGaogamon to then punch, slamming him to the ground. Still persistent, Meteormon walks from the smoke, starting another attack. RiseGreymon is soon to stop him, completely obliterating Meteormon for good. The group then arrives at Mercurimon's lair ready to fight. Ikuto suddenly appears, telling the two sides to stop fighting.

Episode 24 - The Cold-Hearted Past is Revealed! Gizmon AT!
Ikuto tries to stop the fight between Mercurimon and Masaru. Masaru treatens Mercurimon for sending Gotsumon after Ikuto and DATS, trying to kill them. Mercurimon tells them he didn't send Gotsumon- Gotsumon had attacked them on his own out of his hatred. Kurata comes forward saying Digimon and humans cannot be friends. Mercurimon is shocked to see Kurata and tells them he is the one who inflicted all the destruction onto the Digital World, killing Frigimon and many others. Mercurimon begins to explain the past: Frigimon is shown playing with Ikuto as an infant after she discovered him in the forest. Gotsumon and Mercurimon try to take Ikuto from her, not wanting trouble from humans, but Frigimon refused. Mercurimon smiles and lets Frigimon have her way after he sees the bond between the two. In another part of the Digital World, the exploration team had been taking time off from looking for Ikuto to examine their surroundings. Masaru's dad, Suguru, is shown taking pictures of friendly Gomamon with Satsuma and Yushima. Kurata runs out from a cave, shooting into the darkness. A Lynxmon walks from the cave, defending itself by attacking Kurata. Suguru saves him as the team make their way to the icy mountain of Mercurimon's lair. There, they encountered SaberLeomon. Running away, Kurata employs a weapon used to open a Digital Gate. Suguru fought SaberLeomon, unleashing a DigiSoul. SaberLeomon was defeated as Mercurimon entered the cave. The two match fists, but then begin talking. Suguru tells Mercurimon of the boy named Ikuto and the dozens of other people being abducted by the Digital Gates appearing in the real world. Mercurimon tells Suguru to find Yggdrasil, the Digital World's God- there he may seek approval and hopefully restore peace and trust between the Digimon and humans. After Mercurimon finishes his story of the past, Kurata mentions that Suguru must be dead by now but Satsuma, listening in back in the real world, explains this is not true. Suguru was the one who sent blue prints for the Digivice iC back from the Digital World through Kudamon and Kamemon. He also wanted the Digimon and humans to work together in the real world, creating an organization to restore peace between the sides. The decision was made between Mercurimon and Suguru that any Digimon in the real world would be safely returned to a DigiEgg and sent back to the Digital World. Unfortunaly things didn't happen so easily-- Kurata snuck back into the Digital World and began destroying the lands and killing the helpless Digimon. Kurata and his troops made use of Gizmon, strange mechanical Digimon that zapped their prey, killing it and its DigiEgg so it can't be reborn. Frigimon was out in the forest looking for Ikuto and Falcomon that day and was shot in the chest by the heartless army led by Kurata. As Frigimon dies, she tells Ikuto not to hate humans. We switch back to present time as Mercurimon finishes the tale. All of a sudden, Mercurimon is shot through the back by Kurata's Gizmon AT that had been hiding! Mercurimon is sent to the ground in pain as DATS readies to fight Kurata.
