Episode 25 - Kurata's Ambition is Smashed! Yatagaramon takes Flight!
Mercurimon falls to the ground, part of his torso dissolving slowly. Masaru punches Gizmon AT, evolving Agumon to RiseGreymon. Eventhough it's only at Champion level, Gizmon holds imense power and is able to take RiseGreymon down. Lilamon and MachGaogamon join the battle. Gizmon is still too powerful as it evades MachGaogamon's Gaoga Tornado attack. Lilamon's pollen also has no effect on the mechanical being. The battle rages on as Ikuto fights to help Mercurimon, even though Gizmon's blast was too much even for him. It is revealed though that Suguru is the one who gave Mercurimon a Digivice to pass to Ikuto. RiseGreymon forces Gizmon to the ground, but it retaliates. Kurata reveals a crude device resembling a Digivice and orders Gizmon to evolve. A blackness saturates the room for a moment and Gizmon XT is revealed. Gizmon readies an attack as RiseGreymon pulls Masaru out of the blast range. Unleashing a massive blast, Gizmon seems unstoppable. The three DATS Digimon attack together, smashing Gizmon through the wall into another room but Gizmon emerges unhurt. Mercurimon sees Masaru's determination to aid RiseGreymon and defend the Digital World from Kurata and tells Ikuto that these are the kinds of humans that he can trust and care for. Mercurimon then uses his remaining strength to deliver a damaging punch to Gizmon. Before Gizmon can reach its feet, it shoots Mercurimon once again with its deletion ray. Mercurimon then dies, bidding farewell to Ikuto- his DigiEgg also dissolves. Ikuto screams in pain from the lose of who was like a father to him. Falcomon and Ikuto rush towards Gizmon as Ikuto throws up his Digivice. His Full DigiSoul is awakened- evolving Falcomon to Yatagaramon! The suped-up, three-legged, dark bird of prey attacks Gizmon just as it begins to shoot its deletion ray. Yatagaramon smashed it into the wall, crushing its face. Yatagaramon then shoots the mangaled Gizmon with a deadly blast, reducing the mechanical Digimon to a mere DigiEgg. Kurata and his troops escape through a DigiGate leading to Kurata's lab where he is seen scheming in front of a large tank occupied by a large shadowed creature.

Episode 26 - Masaru's Memory Elimination - The Bond Which is Lost!
The gang returns to the real world, arriving in DATS. They are met by a gang of men from the top government ministry. They capture and erase Masaru, Tohma, and Yoshino's minds for so called "crimes against humanity." Kurata peers from the doorway. Masaru awakes in the park across from DATS with no memory of anything related to Digimon. Meanwhile, the Digimon have been captured and are being held in a sound-proof cage in DATS. Knowing they have a duty to stop Kurata from exterminating Digimon, the Digimon break free. They know what they're doing has made them criminals in the human government's eyes, but they must reunite with their partners. Ikuto, Shirikawa, and Kurokawa's minds were spared from the erasing as they are joyed to see their partners once again. Kudamon runs off to hunt down Satsuma who has been taken elsewhere. Ikuto searches DATS for Kurata who he finds and attacks. Yatagaramon is badly injured from 3 mysterious beings shrouded in the shadows protecting Kurata. Agumon, Gaomon, and Raramon rush to find their partners. After much needed convincing, the Digimon end up restoring their partners memories. Gizmon AT appears and attacks the recently reunited Masaru and Agumon. Luckily Lilamon and MachGaogamon step in to take care of it. Another Gizmon appears, but the reunited team of RiseGreymon, Lilamon, and MachGaogamon manage to defeat it. The gang rushes back to DATS where Ikuto and the DATS girls come running out, warning them to run away. All of a sudden DATS erupts in a fiery explosion.

Episode 27 - Chase Kurata - The Operation of Digimon Extermination Begins!
Kurata walks from the burning DATS building, carried away by a Gizmon before Masaru can lay a fist on him. He opens a port to the Digital World and goes through. Everyone regroups at Masaru's house, discussing what to do since they're now wanted criminals. It is decided that they must return to the Digital World and bring justice to Kurata. The only way they have to get to the Digital World is through Ikuto's father's gate in his basement. Masaru, Tohma, and Yoshino rescue the couple who had been captured by the government and make their way to their former house, now in ruins from the battle. On the way to the gate, Satsuma is ambushed by two shadowy figures, spinning out in order to avoid hitting them. The car explodes just after he leaped out. Shirikawa and Kurakawa are outside, keeping a watch out. As soon as the gate is configuring, the two figures- Ivan and Nanami- appear in front of the two ladies, knocking the PawnChessmon out and entering the Digital Gate just after the others. Satsuma arrives and pursues the two. The group is met by a third human- Kouki. They say they are not humans as they display crude Digivices, evolving themselves to Digimon. BioThunderbirmon, BioQuetzalmon, and BioStegomon attack the group's Digimon, badly defeating them. Satsuma catches up, telling Masaru and the others to go ahead, he will handle them. Kudamon evolves to Qilinmon, and a battle erupts. The group is spit out of the Digital Gate as it closes. All they can see is a cloud of smoke from the battle.
